What is not included

Publishing this list is unusual. We do it because "unlimited support" means nothing, and because you should be able to tell in advance which side of the line a request falls on.

• Your domain name. About $12–15 a year, bought in your name, direct from the registrar. We help you set it up. Keeping it in your name is deliberate — it is what stops this from being a hostage arrangement.
• Building things that are not on your plan. Adding an online store to a Business plan is new work. We quote it, you approve it, then it gets built.
• A full redesign. Your plan keeps the site current. Starting over from a blank page is a new build.
• Writing all your copy. We will edit, restructure and tighten what you send us. Writing an entire site from scratch is a separate job.
• Photography. We will tell you exactly what shots to take and how to take them on a phone.
• Third-party fees. Card processing (Stripe or Square take their percentage), paid email tools, paid stock imagery.

The terms, plainly

• Prepaid annually. One payment a year, not twelve.
• 12-month minimum. After that it renews annually and you can cancel any time before renewal.
• Prices are locked for as long as you stay. If we raise prices, existing clients keep theirs.
• Stop paying and the site comes offline at the end of your paid term. You keep your domain and, on request, your content.
• No setup fee, ever. Not hidden in the first year's price either — year one and year two cost the same.
